Contributor and was columnist for Asian week 1988 - present and Asian Focus, cited by various books and articles on affirmative action, was the main person responsible for reform of quota-based affirmative action at the University of California at Berkeley and UCLA in 1990, and was a major contributor to hiring of two white firefighters denied a job because of their race and gender in San Jose after 10 years. Major interests are race, immigration, poverty, free market economics, technology, I am for "fairness in diversity", which tolerates race as merit as long as there are stated limits based on parity with whites, and full disclosure of who is preferred, how much, and why as opposed to common position of "bias, what bias?"
